PHOTOS: Local Comic Stores Celebrate Free Comic Book Day

Today is the first Saturday in May, meaning it’s Free Comic Book Day. The day is enjoyed by comic fans of all ages, with the great opportunity to pick up some free comics and also catch some great deals.

Many local comic book stores and hobby shops in the Windsor area are celebrating the day–with some stores even making it an entire weekend of fun, sales, and free comics.

Border City Comics is keeping it classic and celebrating on Free Comic Book Day only, with sales and a raffle within the store taking place as well as free comics being available for patrons. The first 50 customers were able to pick up a free branded back as well.

Paper Heroes brought the Fight like Mason Foundation to their parking lot along with a BBQ (Saturday only) and much more to celebrate Free Comic Book Day along with a good cause. The store is featuring sales all weekend, as well as a raffle and other cool offerings for hobbyists.

Rogues Gallery garnered a lineup of fans throughout the day who have been anticipating the free comics and weekend-long sale the store is holding.
