Health Unit Alerting Public To Potential Low Risk COVID-19 Exposure At Value Village, Two Walmarts

The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit is alerting the public to three potential public COVID-19 exposures in Windsor-Essex.

The Health Unit says the first newly listed exposure happened at the Walmart at 3120 Dougall Avenue in Windsor on September 21st and 26th, another exposure happened at the Value Village at 4322 Walker Road in Windsor on September 25th and 26th and another exposure happened at the Walmart at 400 Sandwich Street South in Amherstburg on September 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, and 30th.

The Health Unit says the potential exposures are considered low risk, however as a precaution they are asking anyone who visited the locations on the identified dates to monitor themselves for symptoms of COVID-19 for fourteen days from the date of exposure.

The Health Unit lists locations open to the public where a positive case of COVID-19 worked, visited, or attended during their infectious period when it is determined there was a risk of public exposure, and when the Health Unit is not able to contact everyone who may have been exposed.
