A Not So Grueling .5K Run For The Alzheimer Society Of Windsor-Essex

The Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex  is inviting the Windsor and Essex County community to dig out their running shoes and their best German attire for the inaugural The Fort .5 Fun Run.

This fun run is for everyone who opts out of the 5K, 10K, ½ & full marathons but still longs to be part of a run for charity. It’s a fun run geared to the long distance runners hidden inside all of us!

Best of all – no training is required for this run!

This event is part of The Fort Fun Centre’s Octoberfest weekend celebrations. Octoberfest activities and bands are scheduled from Friday, October 4, 2019 through Sunday, October 6, 2019. “The Fort is excited to bring an Octoberfest celebration to our area and be able to help the Alzheimer Society through this run event. Alzheimer’s is a growing cause that needs more and more support and we are happy to help.” says Brad Hearn, Owner of The Fort Fun Centre.

Participants can register individually on-line through RaceRoster.  Registration is $35 for adults and $10 for kids under 12.

Proceeds from The Fort .5K Fun Run will support local programs and services provided by the Alzheimer Society of Windsor & Essex County.
