Windsor Firefighter Dies

Windsor Firefighters are mourning the sudden death of a young firefighter.

Wesley Orr passed away early Friday as the result of a “unfortunate accident” in Collingwood.

According to the OPP they were called to the Blue Mountain Resort shortly before 3am Friday morning.

The initial investigation found Orr attempted to climb the outside wall of a building in the Blue Mountain Village when, at some point, he lost his footing and fell to the ground.

He was subsequently transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries.

A post mortem examination will be scheduled. The investigation is ongoing

According to Windsor Fire, he was just shy of his 26th birthday.
