Some changes are coming to Northwest Beach at Point Pelee.
The renewal of the Northwest Beach area will reduce the ecological footprint of this site, restoring 8000 square metres of sensitive dune habitat.
In addition, new washroom/changeroom facilities, a covered pavilion and play area for children will be constructed.
In 2015, a new parking lot was completed and starting September 19th, 2016, the area was closed for the construction of the buildings and other facilities.
The project is anticipated to be completed for the 2017 season.
