Friday evening, the Welcome Centre Shelter for Women launched its second annual #PinkButterfly campaign at the Windsor express home game.
From February 26th through the month of March, residents and visitors of Windsor-Essex will begin to see decorative pink butterflies in a wide variety of local stores, restaurants, offices, and public spaces. Each butterfly will contain a thoughtful quote while asking you share a photo of the butterfly you’ve discovered on any and all social media platforms using the hashtag #PinkButterfly.
During last years campaign, shelter volunteers distributed approximately 700 butterflies. By the end of the campaign month, a search found more than 500 social media impressions using the hashtag.
