New Cardiac Catheterization Lab Coming To Windsor Regional Hospital

Funding has been approved for a new 24 hour two-table Cardiac Catheterization Lab at the Ouellette Campus of Windsor Regional Hospital.
The project involves renovating about 20,000 square feet of existing hospital space, locating the new cath lab on the 5th floor and relocating the day surgery program to the 2nd floor at the Ouellette Campus.
This renovation will allow Windsor Regional Hospital to provide better services to patients by improving the alignment of services across the region and finding operational efficiencies, enhancing access to regional cardiac programs, such as providing cath lab/angioplasty services around the clock as well as addressing capacity issues for cardiac services, which includes moving patients from the Detroit and London hospitals back to Windsor.
Construction of the project is expected to begin in the fall of 2015.
