Leamingon Vaccination Clinic To Close Saturday

The Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre vaccine clinic in Leamington closes this Saturday.

Since the Nature Fresh Farms Recreation Centre opened for mass vaccinations on March 8th, the County of Essex, Municipality of Leamington, Essex-Windsor EMS, and Erie Shores Health Care worked together with the health unit to administer over 44,000 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

After Saturday, August 21st, the facility will no longer be used, and county residents will be directed to health care providers, pharmacies, or the mass vaccination site in Devonshire Mall for their COVID-19 vaccine.
“Thank you to the County of Essex and the Municipality of Leamington who provided the space and staff needed for area residents to receive their COVID-19 vaccination”, says Chief Executive Officer Nicole Dupuis. “We also want to recognize and sincerely thank the Consulate of Mexico in Leamington, Erie Shores HealthCare, and Essex-Windsor EMS, in addition to our other partner agencies for their support and coordination of these clinics.”

For individuals born in 2009 or earlier looking to receive a first or second-dose COVID-19 vaccine, the Devonshire Mall mass vaccination site will continue to be open from 8am to 3:30pm. Walk-ins or appointments are available at that site.

Select participating pharmacies and healthcare providers also offer COVID-19 vaccines in Windsor and Essex County and must be contacted directly to schedule an appointment.
