Work is underway on the new COVID-19 Assessment Centre at the Met Campus.

The trailers that will make up the centre were delivered last week and have been set up outside the Emergency department adjacent to Byng Road.

This location will allow for quick access to the ED if any patient who comes for a COVID-19 test requires urgent medical treatment.

The centre is scheduled to be open in October, but an exact date has not been set.
