A rainfall warning has been issued.
Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms will continue to develop across the region all day Friday. Breaks in the precipitation are expected in the middle of the day and then more heavy showers and thunderstorms could develop this afternoon or this evening.
Environment Canada says that Windsor airport has reported 23 millimeters of rain early this morning. Total rain amounts near 60 millimetres are expected in parts of the region by tonight.
Locally higher amounts are possible due to multiple thunderstorms.
