The Windsor Essex County Health Unit has confirmed 17 additional cases of COVID-19 as of Wednesday morning bringing the local total to 244.
There have been seven total deaths locally and Medical Officer of Health Dr. Wajid Ahmed says the victim is a female in 90’s from a long-term care facility. The Health Unit will provide further details this afternoon.
As of Wednesday morning, the Health Unit says 1,823 people have been tested and 202 tests are still pending.
