Royal Canadian Legion Launches 2019 National Poppy Campaign

The Royal Canadian Legion National Poppy Campaign is officially underway with thousands of poppies available to Canadians at Legion branches and numerous locations around the country.

“This period of Remembrance is a sacred time in Canada,” says Legion Dominion President Thomas D. Irvine. “It is imperative that we all spend time over the coming days learning the stories of our Veterans, and thinking about the ultimate sacrifices they made so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have in Canada today.”

The 2019 campaign features a new digital poppy, found online at mypoppy.ca. Canadians who donate online will receive a digital poppy in remembrance of a Veteran of their choosing.

Funds donated across the country during the National Poppy Campaign support Veterans and their families locally.
