Recovery Day was celebrated in Windsor at Lanspeary Park Saturday afternoon.
The event aims to foster recovery and brings community organizations to help those in recovery as well as reduce the stigma. The event raises awareness of the severity addiction can result in and brings the community together to celebrate recovery. The event takes place across North America, with Windsor being one of the 25 locations Recovery Day takes place in.
The day is filled with booths of local organizations that assist individuals in recovery and speakers take the stage throughout the afternoon.
