After almost getting canceled, the Ouellette Car Cruise takes place this weekend.
From vintage to classic, street rods to muscle cars, hundreds of meticulously restored and well-kept vehicles from in and around Windsor-Essex will thrill eager audiences lining the downtown. It’s a roaring 600+ collection of vehicles, a one-of-a-kind show that pays homage to Windsor’s nostalgic and storied automotive history.
As cruisers begin gathering at Riverfront Festival Plaza at 1pm, guests are invited to visit the vendors who’ll be setting up shop to showcase their goods and services and make a pit stop at Kipping Tire at 1197 Ouellette Avenue on your way down to the Plaza and enjoy complementary Dari-De-Lite ice cream too.
Beginning at 3pm, Festival Plaza will host a lineup of live entertainers.
The cruise kicks off at 6pm and will travel on Ouellete, east on Tecumseh Road to Lauzon Parkway, north to Riverside Drive and back to Festival Plaza. The Cruise will be going in both directions this year (east and west on Riverside Drive) to ease traffic congestion.
