Body Of Missing Swimmer Located

Emergency crews have located a missing swimmer in Tecumseh.
According to the OPP around 5:30pm Saturday evening, several occupants of a boat anchored approximately one half kilometer off shore near the intersection of Riverside Drive and Manning Road had entered the water to swim. One of the occupants did not return to the boat.
The Ontario Provincial Police Essex and Chatham-Kent County marine units, the Joint Rescue Coordination Center, the United States Coast Guard, the Windsor Police and Royal Canadian Mounted Police marine units and Tecumseh and LaSalle Fire Rescue Service all searched the water Saturday evening until it became to dark.
The search continued Sunday and into Monday where they found the body of 25-year-old Darren Castellan of LaSalle.
