As the demolition of the former Windsor City hall nears completion, the attention will now focus on what to do with the space.
Monday evening, City Council moved forward with forming a steering committee for the new City Hall Square Plaza. They will also look at Civic Esplanade improvements.
Plans for the new plaza will include cultural elements and programmable spaces.
They will also look to increase the functionality and usability of the Civic Esplanade that stretches from City hall to Riverside Drive East.
Planning will take place throughout the fall and winter, with hopes to have construction underway next year.
