An early morning fire in Kingsville is out.

It broke out in the basement of a home in the 200 block of Main Street East around 2am Wednesday.

According to Fire Chief Bob Kissner working smoke alarms alerted the family to fire and they all escaped uninjured.

Investigators say that the cause was a possible electrical issue involving a real Christmas tree.

Damage is estimated between $75,000 to $100,000.
