Green Shield Canada is encouraging the public to provide monetary donations or food items to tackle the shortage of food at our local food banks.

Green Shield has responded to the urgent community appeal for contributions by providing a $30,000 donation, in addition to delivering a range of food items donated by employees.

Green Shield is asking other organizations to follow its lead to support the local community.

“As a proud member of the Windsor community for some 60 years, we remain committed to helping those in need,” explains Steve Bradie, President and CEO of GSC. “We encourage others in our community to join us and ‘give where they live’ to support our fellow citizens who need our help. We hope that our collective giving will enable all in our community to be cared for during the upcoming holiday period.”

Information on how to make donations can be found on the WEFBA website, wefba.ca.
