Windsor Fire crews battled an overnight fire in the 1100 block of Cataraqui.

Fire crews were called to the two storey duplex just after 1:30am and found heavy fire conditions on the first floor.

The fire quickly made its way to the second floor and through the roof, forcing fire crews to exit the building and fight the fire from the exterior.

The heavy smoke and fog made travel in the area very difficult.

The fire was knocked out around 6:30am.

Damage is set at $150,000.  The cause is undetermined due to the  extensive damage.

Fire officials said the home was vacant.
