This summer, 46 female students will arrive from Misono Jokaguin school in Windsor’s sister city Fujisawa.
“When they come here they get to embrace everything that’s Canadian. They stay with Canadian families, learn what it’s like to live in a Canadian home, eat Canadian food, and just experience the culture that way,” said program coordinator Stacy Corlett.
While in Windsor, the students will be immersed in English and spend most of their days at Talbot Trail Elementary.
The program is in need of hosts to put the students up. You will be asked to provide a bedroom, a loving home and three meals a day, along with some driving.
Anyone that hosts students will be paid.
