Investigation Into Fatal Fire Complete

The scene investigation is complete into a fatal fire in East Windsor on Tuesday.
The fire broke out around 4am at in the 1000 block of Ford Boulevard and spread to a garage and the home next door.
Officials say that when Windsor Police officers arrived first at the scene, the house was on fire, and there was a brief interaction with a man who was inside the house.
Fire crews arrived and worked for over an hour to put the fire out.
One person was rescued from the second floor and taken to hospital. The 47-year-old man was pronounced dead a short time later at hospital.
Three police officers were also sent to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation. The Special Investigations Unit is also looking into the fire because police were involved.
Damage is set at $325,000 to the home, garage and contents. There was also $20,000 in damage to the property next door.
The cause has not been released.
