The Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office and officials from Windsor Fire and Rescue are looking into the cause of Monday’s fire at the Le Chef Restaurant.
Investigators brought in heavy machinery on Tuesday to sort through the rubble, dismantle the remains of the building, and extinguish hot spots of fire that remain smouldering.
The fire was declared out at 1:30pm.
The scene investigation is complete, but the investigation is still ongoing.
Damage is set at $1.1 million.
No one was injured.
