Justice Patterson of the Superior Court of Justice has dismissed a contempt of court motion made against the City of Windsor and Town of Tecumseh.
In the motion, it was alleged that Windsor and Tecumseh had violated an earlier Order from Justice Patterson limiting their communications concerning the Opt-Out Campaign, relating to the class action brought against the City and Town in relation to license fees for bingo and other charitable gaming activities.
Windsor and Tecumseh officials say that are “pleased with the decision and appreciate the further clarity it offers. Officials will continue to respect and abide by the Court’s earlier Order limiting communications and will therefore have no further comment on this matter during the Opt-Out Period.”
