The streetlights in LaSalle will so be going LED.
The town plans to change over the 3,643 street lights at a cost of $2,300,310.
The new lights will use between 65% and 70% less energy, and should pay for themselves after 7.84 years. The fixtures carry a 20 year product warranty.
LaSalle follows Leamington, Kingsville, Lakeshore and Windsor who have all initiated LED streetlight replacement programs.
