Enwin Utilities is working to restore a power outage in areas of Central Windsor, Remington Park and South Walkerville.

Enwin says crews have made a partial restoration to customers in the affected area but some sections may still be without power.

Power went out shortly after midnight to an area bounded by Wyandotte to the north, Langlois to the east, Edinborough to the south and Dougall to the west.

Readers reported seeing a transformer explode near Howard.

Enwin says the official cause was a defective transformer in the 700 block of Memorial.

Windsor Police said many traffic lights are flashing red all ways. Intersections should be treated as four-way stops.
