The City of Windsor is going to naturalize some sections of the E.C. Row Expressway to save money.
City staff will now only cut grass in the medians of the Expressway three times a year. In addition, only 10 feet adjacent the shoulders will be cut, and the rest will become naturalized.
Ramp slopes will also be naturalized.
The Dougall and Howard off Ramp clovers will still be cut every other week as part of the city beautification efforts of the gateways.
This will be estimated to save the city $60,000 over the course of the year.
