Drew Dilkens is the new mayor of Windsor.

With 103 of 103 polling stations reporting, Dilkens edged out other candidates including John Millson and Larry Horwitz.

Dilkens collected 32,271 votes and captured 55.4% of the vote.

The new mayor pledged to follow through on his plan to phone Chrysler and Ford on Tuesday.

“Tomorrow, the first call I will make will be an introduction call to the head of Chrysler, the head of Ford, to make sure they know who the next mayor of the City of Windsor will be, make sure they understand how important we think, and I think that their investment is here in our community,” he said.

Dilkens beat both his closest competitors, John Millson and Larry Horwitz, by a combined 9,130 votes. He also beat all eleven of his competitors combined by 6,247 votes.

Results will be declared official at a later date by the City Clerk.
