Windsor Police Service is sending out a reminder to drivers to be cognizant of school buses, crossing guards and children on bicycles.
In an effort to promote road safety with this in mind, police say that they will be targeting school bus and crossing guard related offences in the month of September. Officers will also be engaging cyclists who disobey the rules of the road.
Police stress that enough cannot be said about the dangers of distracted driving as it has surpassed impaired driving as the leading cause of injury accidents in Ontario. Police say they will continue to aggressively enforce these violations.
