The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association is once again lending its financial support of the annual Farmers’ Market held from May 31st October 11th at Charles Clark Square.

The Association says that despite a significant reduction in its operating budget, the Board of Directors has confirmed a donation of $3,000 to this year’s market.

The Downtown Windsor Business Improvement Association has been a major financial contributor of the Downtown Resident Association’s Farmers’ Market with contributions to date totaling in excess of $49,000.

“The DWBIA believes that the Farmers’ Market is a vibrant place alive with residents and visitors, and bustling with social and economic activity,” Larry Horwitz, Chair of the Downtown Windsor BIA, said in a news release. “The Market contributes to our quality of life and encourages walkability in the city centre.”
