The City of Windsor is looking for Angels – Snow Angels that is.
A great way to get some great exercise this winter and help out in the community, the Snow Angels is a volunteer snow removal service offered to seniors and persons with physical disabilities.
The Snow Angels program helps by attempting to match volunteer snow shovellers from the community with registered clients living in the City of Windsor. Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older. For high school students, it is a great way to round out your 40-hour Community Involvement requirement.
This year it’s more important than ever to volunteer. On average, we have about 400 residents requesting snow removal help and less than 50 volunteers. All registered volunteers will be entered into a draw to win a free iPad or one of five full-year passes to Windsor’s new Adventure Bay Family Water Park.
You can call 311 for more information or to register. Information is also available at www.citywindsor.ca
