The City of Windsor doesn’t want you to let your holidays go to waste.

During the holiday season, we virtually drown in paper, packaging and party waste. While there’s no holiday magic to make it disappear, the city says that your blue and red boxes are the next best thing!

The City of Windsor is encouraging all of its residents to recycle as much waste as possible during the Holiday season.

They recommend to have a clear plastic bag at the ready when opening gifts to catch all the wrapping paper and packaging. Place the bag out with your blue and red box for collection on your designated recycling day. Be sure to check your Collection Calendar or call 311 to find out your holiday collection day.

Also, they remind you that what you place at curb side for collection may alert would-be thieves to what is in your home. Break down boxes and turn them inside out.
