The 36th annual Detroit Free Press Marathon takes place on both sides of the border this Sunday.
The Marathon makes its way through Windsor — over the Ambassador Bridge and along Riverside Drive — between Huron Church and Goyeau from approximately 7:30 am to 9:45 am.
Windsorites are encouraged to line the marathon route to cheer runners on.
The Detroit-Windsor tunnel will be closed to all vehicular traffic between 7am until 9:45am. The first tunnel bus trip from Windsor will be at 10am and the bus will short turn – drop off at tunnel platform next to Mariner’s Church – until the streets in downtown Detroit are open.
