Horses Die After Two Separate Collisions In Essex County

Essex OPP officers responded to two separate incidents on Saturday where horses were struck by vehicles.
In the first crash, at 6:35am, two horses ran across Essex County Road 29 near Essex County Road 18 in Kingsville, in front of a pickup truck. One of the horses was struck. The driver of the pickup was not injured.
Ten minutes later, a horse ran out in front of a 2002 Toyota in the 12000 block of Essex County Road 15 in Essex. The driver of that vehicle was not injured.
In both collisions, the horses were put down due to their injuries a veterinarian.
