Windsor Spitfires General Manager Warren Rychel announced Friday that the club has signed undrafted forward Ryan Foss to a standard OHL player’s agreement and education package.
The Spitfires say that Foss earned his way onto the club with outstanding play during this week’s training camp; scoring six goals in two days of scrimmages and last night’s annual Blue-White game.
“We’re extremely pleased to add Ryan to our lineup,” Rychel said. “He will have an immediate impact. He’s a player with very good size and hands. A very skilled player. I give a lot of credit our scouting staff, for finding a player like Ryan, who was passed over in the draft.”
The 17-year-old Foss is a 6’2 170-pound winger that had a monster season at Blythe Academy in 2012- 13, putting up 39 goals and adding 63 assists for 102 points in 68 games.
Foss will be in the lineup on Saturday night, when they open up their exhibition schedule against the Plymouth Whalers in Livonia, Michigan
