At 6pm Tuesday Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Windsor, Leamington and Essex County as well as Chatham-Kent.
An intensifying area of thunderstorms is approaching from lower Michigan. Torrential downpours and strong wind gusts are associated with some of these storms. Local rainfall amounts of 50 mm in an hour will be possible with some of these storms.
