Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent.
Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms late this evening and overnight.
Damaging wind gusts to 100 km/h and hail to 2 cm in diameter may be possible with these storms.
Torrential downpours will also be associated.
