Saturday Is HERO Day Of Action For UWindsor Students

This Saturday, student volunteers from the Residence Services Department at the University of Windsor will be hosting a city-wide DAY OF ACTION as part of their H.E.R.O. (Higher Education Reaching Out) Project.
Volunteers will be visiting the South Windsor community asking for donations of non-perishable goods to help increase diminishing food bank supplies.
Donations can also be made to the Residence Office Room 49 in Vanier Hall at the University of Windsor all week, or you can email [email protected] and we can arrange pick up of the goods.
The Windsor Essex Food Bank Association suggests donating the following items if possible:
· Peanut butter
· Jam
· Cereal
· Tuna
· Canned Meat
· Rice and pasta
· Pasta Sauce
· Beans with pork
· Children’s snacks
· Juice boxes
· Canned juice
· Cookies
· Crackers
· Canned fruits and vegetables
· Dried foods
· Macaroni and cheese
· Canned and Dried Soups
· Canned stews
· Baking products
· Personal Hygiene Products
– Baby Supplies (Diapers, Old Clothes)
– Toiletries
