The snow has melted and the nice weather is starting to arrive, and with these signs of Spring comes one more, Garbage.
The City of Windsor is looking for groups and individuals to help clean the garbage that has accumulated on sidewalks, in vacant lots, school grounds, ditches and alleys over the winter months.
Community groups are encouraged to organize their own litter cleanup in the Rose City’s Spring Clean Sweep Campaign, which sweeps through our city each year during the month of April. Each group is free to choose where, when and who will be involved in their cleanup. The City will provide gloves, bags and collection services to help.
“Over the years, thousands of Windsorites have shown their commitment to a clean community by participating in the Clean Sweep and collecting litter in their neighborhoods,” says Environmental Services Manager Anne-Marie Albidone. “We hope to see even more residents joining the effort this year.”
To register for the Clean Sweep, you can call 311, email [email protected], or register online at www.citywindsor.ca (E-services – 311 Online – Clean Sweep Registration).
