The Community Partners for Multicultural Health is a joint venture of 15 health, social and newcomer organizations committed to improving access to health services in Windsor-Essex. They will be holding their annual Health Access Day tomorrow, Tuesday, April 16th at the Caboto Club from 9:30am to 2:30pm.
Organizers say that the event focuses on two goals, promoting good health and improving access to local health and human services.
This year there are over fifty organizations involved to share information and, in some cases, offer screening and health promotion activities such as blood pressure readings or blood glucose tests.
Newcomers who are students in the Language Instruction for Newcomers Classes (LINC) have been invited.
It is estimated that over 400 newcomers will attend.
