A single vehicle crash in Essex took the life of the driver Saturday evening.
OPP say they were called to Road 3, just west of Essex County Road 23 (Arner Townline) at 6:35pm after a white Pontiac Montana van struck a tree.
The single occupant of the vehicle was found deceased when emergency crews arrived.
OPP say 36-year-old Michael Abbott was pronounced dead at the scene.
