Habitat for Humanity Windsor-Essex, along with The Home Depot, have partnered to hold their first DIY free workshop this Saturday that will lead participants through a laminate flooring installation experience. The training will be conducted by an expert facilitator from The Home Depot.
Habitat for Humanity has plans to build 25 homes in the next five years, three of which are planned for the fall of 2013. “We feel that this is a great opportunity to teach people how to utilize all the great materials found at the Habitat ReStore” states Janis Windsor, Executive Director. “Beyond that, it will likely also generate volunteer interest for the upcoming builds” adds Windsor.
The DIY Workshop launch will be held on from 10am to 11am and again from 12noon to 1pm at the Habitat ReStore located at 3064 Devon Drive. Space is limited, so interested participants are being asked to register in advance by emailing [email protected], or by calling 519-969-3762 ext. 29.
