Dancers Wanted for Windsor Express Basketball Dance Team, Auditions Sunday

The Windsor Express Professional Basketball Team is holding open auditions for their Female Dance Team this weekend and the public is invited to come out and try out.

Dartis Willis, President and CEO of the Windsor Express says he believes the dance team is an aspect that is vital to the entertainment component of the game.

Windsor-based Northstar Cheer has been hired to recruit, train, and choreograph routines for the dance team.

Chris Mendes, General Manager for The Windsor Express says, “We are expecting a huge response, over 300 ladies. We want the public to get involved. Local judges will help decide who makes the final cut down to 10 ladies”.

The Dance Team will dance and cheer on the sidelines, during halftime, greet fans and perform within the community.

If you’re interested in trying out, organizers say to bring a two-piece dance outfit and any kind of dance shoes. Dancers must be 18 years of age or older. Cost to tryout is $15.
