Noisy pile driving operations on the W-E Parkway route have begun.
A pile driver is working to bury steel piles into bedrock to support “Bridge B-10” at the side of Highway 3.
Bridge B-10 will carry Highway 3 traffic over the new Windsor-Essex Parkway.
The bridge will be located between Huron Church Line and Gereadts Street (St. Clair College) and is 292 metres long. One-hundred and fifty piles will be driven over the next six to eight weeks.
