The Windsor Film Club, in partnership with Janus Films/Criterion Collection and Chanoso/Oishii restaurants, is bringing bi-weekly screenings to the city centre. In an effort to create world-class cinephile experiences for both film students and connoisseurs, screenings of classic and budget-priced films will be held on Monday evenings with all of the proceeds supporting the Windsor International Film Festival.
The films will be projected on a 10′ screen at the former Oishii site (Oishii is currently located on the opposite side of Chanosos) located at 245 Ouellette Avenue, beginning at 6:00 pm. Each evening will run approximately 5 hours long. Organizers plan to have a film expert at each screening to introduce the two films and provide background information on the directors, stars and movies to enhance the experience even further.
Tickets are $10.00 each and include 10% off your meal at Chanoso’s or Oishii that night.
Next Monday evening’s film are:
6:00 pm–Smiles Of A Summer Night (Ingmar Bergman, Sweden, 1955, 108 min.)
8:00 pm–Sweetie (Jane Campion, Australia, 1989, 99 min.)
