The Windsor Film Club, in partnership with Janus Films/Criterion Collection and Chanoso/Oishii restaurants, is bringing bi-weekly screenings to the city centre. In an effort to create world-class cinephile experiences both for the film student and connoisseur, screenings of classic and budget-priced films will be held on Monday evenings with all of the proceeds supporting the Windsor International Film Festival.

The films will be projected on a 10′ screen at the former Oishii site, 245 Ouellette Avenue, beginning at 6:00 pm.  Each evening will run approximately 5 hours long. They plan to have a film expert at each screening to introduce the two films and provide background information on the directors, stars and movies to enhance the experience even further.

Tickets are $10 each and include 10% off your meal at Chanoso’s or Oishii that night.

This Monday evening’s film are:

6:00 pm–Seven Samurai (Akira Kurosawa, Japan, 1954, 207 min.)

9:30 pm–Modern Times (Sir Charles Chaplin, USA, 1936, 87 min.)
