The Essex Region Conservation Foundation’s 2010 Enviro Expo kicked off this evening in downtown Windsor with its keynote speaker, the 42nd President of the United States, William Jefferson Clinton.
Clinton spoke about the ‘everyday differences we can make in our lives’ to improve the earth, including small steps toward more energy efficient buildings, schools and public spaces.
The former President explained how a ripple effect — “like dropping a pebble in the water…to create changes” — could be achieved by individuals and governments alike to improve our environments.
Clinton praised the power of the internet as a way for young people to institute change in our world.
The Enviro Expo’s conference and trade show portions begin tomorrow at 10am.
