The Town of Lakeshore’s Atlas Tube Centre has won the Athletic Business Facility Award of Merit.
This award celebrates ten outstanding examples of sports and recreation facility architecture in North America. This competitive award is judged by a panel of leading sports, recreation and fitness facility architects and is only presented to 10 facilities per year. The Atlas Tube Centre competed against 63 other facilities across Canada and the United States such as Harvard University, Mayo Clinic, Arizona State, Penn State University, Denver Broncos, University of Toronto (including PanAm Sports Centre), and the St. Clair College of Applied Arts & Technology SportsPlex.
This is the second award in two months for the centre. Recently, the Atlas Tube Centre won the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) Award of Merit.
