Christmas kicks off in the Town of Essex this Friday.
The Salvation Army will host the annual tree lighting and festivities at Town Hall, located at 33 Talbot Street South, starting at 6:00pm.
The fun includes a visit with Santa and music.
The evening is also the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle campaign kick-off. They will also be collecting unwrapped toys for the toy drive.
