While COVID-19 has cancelled most events this summer, the 2020 Can-Am Golf Series fundraiser supporting the 2022 Police-Fire Games will go on.

“As a community, we have always shown our support for the men and women of the emergency services,” said Windsor Councillor and Roseland Board Member Gary Kaschak, attending on behalf of Mayor Dilkens. “But, this COVID-19 pandemic has crystalized just how truly vital first responders and front line workers are, and it makes our thank-you event this year all the more poignant.”

The event will take place on Friday, September 25 at the Roseland Golf and Curling Club with the Canadian Mental Health Association is the games charity partner.

“The Canadian Mental Health Association, Windsor-Essex County Branch (CMHA-WECB) is really looking forward to the 2020 golf tournament,” said Kim Willis, Director of Communications. “And, we’re excited to showcase something new this year: the artwork of children will be displayed in a tribute banner showing our appreciation for our first responders, which is especially important this year when even more has been asked of them.”

Early bird registration is $200 per player or $800 per foursome runs from today until August 31st, 2020 followed by regular registration until the deadline of September 14th, 2020. To register contact event coordinators Nora Romero at [email protected] or Hayley Morgan at [email protected]
