LaSalle parks will look different this summer due to COVID-19.
The town says that during the pandemic, the Parks Division is planning on completing only basic tasks.
Those include grass cutting once every seven days, grooming baseball diamonds in fields periodically to ensure no weed growth and removing the currently planted annual bulbs in flower beds along with periodically weeding of gardens, medians, and roundabouts.
They will also focus on an as-needed basis the removal of trash from public garbage canisters, trail and pathways maintenance, playground maintenance and tree trimming.
The town says that they will not move forward with flower planting, gardens or baskets, boat ramp operations, spring cleanup in parks, tree program, planting and replacements and playground construction.
In addition, the town says that they will not hire the annual ten summer students during this pandemic.
